Top 5 Considerations…

Everyone has their own unique set of requirements for a new radiator. Here are 5 key points to consider before you make a decision on which one is right for you.

  • The supplied lead is only 1.5m so you may need an extension lead
  • It measures 63cm high x 50cm long x 29cm deep. Will it fit where you want it to go?
  • You have control with 3 heat settings and it has a built in thermostat for economy
  • What size room are you heating? This is designed for small to medium rooms
  • It weighs 11kg and has wheels to move it around more easily

What people are saying…

Customers who purchase this heater are loving how efficient and warm it is. Most are using it instead of their central heating when they’re in a single room in their home.

It’s ideal for a living room, office or bedroom when you want a quick blast of heat without heating the whole home.

Mr Dazza seemed to like it that’s for sure:

Vonhaus 2500W Amazon Review

Advantages

  • Excellent value for money
  • Powerful 2.5Kw output
  • Built in thermostat

Disadvantages

  • Short lead

The bottom line…

This VonHaus and other oil filled radiators often win vs central heating because they offer a cost-effective way to heat one room at a time.

The built in thermostat ensures you don’t over use power while allowing you to not heat the whole house like you do with central heating.

It’s a tried and tested way to get a boost of heating in the winter time. That’s why they’ve been around for so long.

Cost to Run…

Short answer.

On full power (2,500W) for 1 hour = 40p

This will decrease when using a lower heat setting, if the room reaches the right temp before then and the thermostat kicks in and how long you run it for.

The type of room you’re using it in and the insulation level will also impact how long it runs for.

If you’d like more details, I wrote more about it in another post which you can read here.
